43 days in intensive care, one in the ward before that and a week at Wishaw General before that...our minds are being stretched to the limits of human endurance. Emily is now a whopping 10 lbs (Still well underweight for a six month old baby but she's starting to look like she's got the face of Amelie and the body of Frank Black). No idea of when we'll get out but Emily is loving every minute of it. She's the nosiest baby you've ever seen and having a brace of nurses fawn over her is giving her a head like the mekon. She's just learnt that if she uses her hand she can pick things up, unfortunatley the nearest things to her are suction catheters...not the usual baby toys but she's having a blast.
My night off and my downstairs neighbours are playing dance music at obtrusive levels. I can't decide whether to put Scratch Acid and Septic Death on repeat at terrifying volumes and then drive back to the hospital or not...

Where the fuck did July go? When you spend fifteen hours a day in the hospital you tend to lose your grip on reality, not least the time and date. Anyway, as you can see my time is somewhat limited so artwork has been almost non-existant. I have done some sketching while sitting around all day but haven't had the time to finish anything up. Emily has gone from putting on about 1oz a week to half a lb a week and now has the face of princess leia with the body of Frank Black. Me as happy as can be.
